Balloons and Thongs

Nothing really exciting happened today, I got to see a hot air balloon launch today and I haven't seen one of those since I was younger than Kellen living in the projects in Wooster on Gasche street and I think Mom took Mitch and I to Freedlander Park or some other bigger open park that I can't remember. anyway it has been a long time..

The other thing is another story that a teacher told me last week. It went something like this....

One early spring day at Ironton High School the principal ( who was in his late 60s) got on the loud speaker and said the following..." I have have noticed that many of the girls here in school have been wearing thongs. This is not allowed and will not be tolerated any more..." Everyone was shocked and the students were laughing hysterically. If anyone is old enough to remember, they used to call flip flops thongs a long time ago.. The principal was only refering to the flipflops that many of the girls were wearing...

That is so funny! How our language changes - did anyone ever tell him?

Good story, Tim. I was asking myself, "How did he know?"
I like the new layout, too.

I am in different schools each week, similar to you. When I was reading this I thought for sure the guy WAS talking about underwear. I see girls wearing thongs with low waisted pants. The thong shows at the waist band. Teens have a name for it but I can't remember what it is. Either way, funny story.
