Too Much Information?
So This will qualify as too much information, but you're reading this, so I assume you don't care too know. Steph and I decided that a vasectomy is the way to go. Four is enough, I guess. I called up my insurance co. and my deductible is $1000. Then once I meet my deductible, they only pay 80% of my bill. This year alone I have paid over $2000 just in premiums. So I have already paid over $2000 in premiums( in 6 months) then have to pay out another $1000 to reach my deductable, then I will still pay 20% after that as well. Here comes the good part. I called one Dr.( one of the four that I can go to according to my insurance) and the cost is $1200 PLUS hospital costs. I thought I was going to get a vasectomy, not a prostate exam... come on. I thought they could do this prcedure in the office? (I know they can, I have seen it done, another story, don't ask) So I am going to call the other three and see how they charge and go from there. I think it is going to be cheaper to do what we are doing now, and not get the vasectomy...

They should be able to do it in an office, provided your doctor can create a sterile environment and have all the proper tools on hand,
If this is something you and your wife have agreed upon then I say keep looking, it can be done in the office and actually insurance companies prefer it that way as it saves them money (and usually you too).
Good Luck!
