A sad. sad day.

There are blogs that I read, and think "What is the guy/gal talking about?" I can not get into what ever he is writing about. Well, that is what most of you folk will be saying about me today.
Today my second favorite opera singer died. ( My #1 fav goes by the initials TER) I don't think I have felt this much sorrow since Fred Rogers died. I mean that. There are only a few people in the entertainment business that really influenced me. Mr. Rogers and Luciano Pavarotti were very influential in my maturation process.
So there you have it. I will leave you with two nice songs the first one is more popular, the second is not so popular, that is if you don't know opera.

Pavarotti and Mr Rogers, that is an interesting combination dear.

I've never seen a production of The "Elixir of Love" before--I'm more familiar with Lucia di Lammermore--but after hearing him sing the aria I don't know that seeing anyone else sing it has a point.

I can't hear anyone but Pavarotti sing Nessum Dorma. No one.

I've had season opera tickets here for several years and Andrew is pretty patient with my love of opera--especially since his mother was a professional mezzo soprano.
