A Mess We Created

I hate debt. I hate the fact that we have allowed ourselves to get into this situation. One of our biggest debts is our student loans. I have mixed feelings about student loans. One the one hand they seem almost necessary if you are going to get a college degree. Do you know anyone who has gone to college without any debt?

On the other hand it is so easy to rack up a tone of debt quickly. We both worked through college. I can't say we were the best money managers, but we were far from the worst. We have always lived somewhat frugally. Yet we still racked up a lot of debt.

Now we are paying and paying and I think will be paying forever. We did a school loan consolidation a few years back and that did help some. It made it a little more manageable, but the debt doesn't go away.
