Cavs and Kidd?
I still follow the Cleveland Teams even though I don't live in sunny Northeast Ohio now. I was listening to ESPNradio the other day when they said the Jason Kidd was asking to be traded again. My first thought was that would be nice to pair up with LeBron, but it ain't going to happen, it's to complicated and Danny Ferry is pretty tight the last time I checked. BUT I would not be disappointed if it did. The problem would be that NJ wants an arm and a leg, and the cavs are paying very well with what they have so again, I would be surprised. All that is said here by the reputable Brian Windhorst. Who has nothing to do with real estate.

Where is my snowboard?
Better yet, where is a place that is close that I can board? Oh, wait, that's right there isn't one. If there was, the snow would be gone by the time I got there anyway. It was a little chilly this morning. " How chilly was it?" you ask? I poured a jar of iced tea from the fridge to take with me to work. I get out, start up the car, let the chickens out, and get back in and take a drink of my tea. It was warm. My iced tea from the fridge was warm compared to the outside temp. My kinda of weather.
If you haven't been, shame on you, check out Phelan, she is way ahead of us when it comes to the garden.
My wife is always worthy of your time.

The killing continues
Yesterday I had the day off, so I found some things to do. I butchered 3 roosters, 3 rabbits and 1 duck. I really felt sorry for the duck he was really pretty and I liked him a lot. But it was a he, not a she, so the other drake( the daddy) didn't really like him too much. we culled(killed them) the roosters so we are now down to just one the can service the other 12 hens we now have. We are going to eat the duck tonight, so every one that is over has the chance to taste it. I have included some pictures here if you want to see the bloody mess, then click here. Don't click if you don't want to see blood.

Here I am with the duck. Pretty isn't he? Too bad I killed him. My eyes look really blue in this picture for some reason. maybe they turn blue when I am killing things...
I then walked the fence to find the problems that were shorting it out. There were two places where fairly big logs had fallen on it, so I took care of that, and then I helped Paul with the tractor.
We then watched Shrek the Third last night. I thought it was ok for a third movie. It had some funny parts and I could spot the movie take offs as well. I laughed pretty hard some places.
Today I am in the office I should be looking for gifts for girls because one of my three girls still needs a present. I'm sure I will get something. Check out the human calendar every day everyone on there is looking at today's date. I thought this was cool.
There is more NAIS talk around the web, I get a lot of it in my mailbox daily. Almost too much to digest at one time. Have a nice Christmas week. I probably won't post until next week then.

Links that I am reading today
Here are just a few.
Sustainable table
Slow Food Dallas
The Complete Patient
some Phelan
some more Phelan
cat furniture
I could give you a bunch of links from Phelan and others that I am reading now. If you go to their pages you will be able to navigate them easily. If enough people are educated on NAIS, they will be able to see how much it is going to affect them We live in a society now that has such a big government that regular people don't pay enough attention to what is happening in Washington.
I know I don't pay enough attention and I probably wouldn't if there wasn't an election coming up, btw, why in the heck did they move up all the primaries? Nobody has answered the question... The election is still going on November 4th 2008, right? It is still 320 days away for crying out loud. Nobody's going to decide to move it up? So back to my point nobody pays attention to what is going on. and really if it were up to me I think I would be hiding out in my hills of West Virginia with all my guns waiting for something to happen, but I have to pay my bills. ok I am starting to sound like some militia starting Waco freak.
I did listen to Ron Paul who was on The Glenn Beck Show the last night and I think I agree with most of what he is saying , but I don't think the guy has a snowball's chance of taking anyone. We can see how the Primaries turn out. I'd be surprised it I were wrong, but then again, I'm used to being wrong so It won't hurt my feelings. With that I am off to the dentist for a cleaning. Wo0 Hoo.

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth.
This morning Kellen got two front teeth pulled. Not his two front upper teeth, but his two lower canine teeth. Now he has these two gargantuan holes in the bottom row of his teeth. he's doing fine, we'll see after the block wears off.
Again thanks to Phelan, (she gave me the idea.) I am able to see what is going on in the news, and read more weblogs. Just go to Google alerts and you can get alerts for anything you want. It is pretty straight forward. I have alerts for NAIS, John D. Rockefeller, Nick J. Rahall, and our favorite Mr. KKK himself, Robert C. Byrd.

Christmas present/ Sunglasses rant
I don't wear a watch. I want both of my arms to weigh the same. ( Mitch Hedberg joke) It seems to me there almost like sunglasses to me. I can't seem to keep them around for very long. If I did want to wear a watch then I would want to wear a Girard Perregaux. But since the website doesn't give you the price, then I think it is a bit out of my price range, just guessing. I would probably lose it in a week any way according to my wife who wants me to go buy cheap $5-$10 pair of sunglasses that won't fit your face comfortably, aren't polarized to eliminate the glare when driving, save my eyes for later on when I am 80 I can see three feet in front of me. Her arguments are that I will spend too much on something that wont last long, something that I will lose. The last pair of sunglasses I had lasted me for a year. I think if I pay $20.00 -$40.00 a year for sunglasses, t is not a bad investment, for crying out loud I am paying $4000 a year for health insurance that I don't don't touch! I bought a $19.99 pair of sunglasses from campmor, and when I got them the lens popped out so I returned them. Steph said, and I agreed, that they were too small for my face. So what ever, Who's right?? I wouldn't mind having this pair of sunglasses and I like this watch but I wouldn't but it for me for Christmas.

Picture from Steph
If you haven't already, check out our ducklings at Steph's page it is a great picture. The ducklings are very cute. We can't decide what is cuter, ducklings or chicks. Since the chicks are now half grown, we decided ducklings are cuter. We don't have anything fancy like a Canon Powershot, but our little Kodak digital takes pretty decent pictures, and Steph caught them in a great shot.

Saturday Morning fun
If you are not awake yet, finish up that cup of coffee (unless you are on that 100 mile diet thing)and get out side I 'm sure you have plenty to do just like the rest of us. But, if you decide a few more pages are worth reading before you get moving, then I would recommend a couple (of course). At random, here are a few I have come across:
Itsawonderfulinternet.com- the great story about what we couldn't do without the Internet...
bushspeech.org- this is a pretty funny site. You can plug in most words that you want and he will say them in the order you want. I think it is funny and clever. Its not Golf Equipment, but it's very good.

furniture now?
The last post I wrote about the things not getting done around the house, and how we seem to gloss over them after a while. Well this has nothing to do about that last post except that it involves the inside of the house. We have home furniture, however, it is as old as I am. It has got to be. We bought it at a garage sale down down the street form us. It was a little old couple. the guy said he used the couch for his Sunday Afternoon naps. It has the wool burnt orange checkered pattern. Total 70s. They are comfortable. both pieces have held up rather well. We will see how much use we can get out of them, if it is anything like the previous furniture, it will last for a long time. I have not been surfing very much lately, but here is another page to hold your interest for a while...or maybe this one.

Alaskan Vacation next?!?
Since that last posting of the Alaska trip I have looked up backpacks, thought about new hiking boots, and wondered what it is going to be like taking my grown boys and girls off to the last frontier. Then I thought, man, I can't even afford to buy our five gallon bottled water this month...oh well Alaskan, or even a Florida rental vacationis out this summer. Do I really have to wait until my children grow up? I guess I will have to. Oh well, be sure to check out the post earlier today and to pull out another link to share from my bookmarks, go see what Kellen has been posting. (He is our oldest, and blogs for school and what not).
really check this out.
I think, by the stuff I post, that I don't have any work to do, but it is the contrary. I am busy. I just get to mulitask... I think that is what they call it now.
Here's the best website I have found so far. Go and do all the apps they have on the right side. The strobe flips you out!

If you post, they will come?

Here is an example of what you will see at doingitwrong.com I stumbled there today and I haven't left because they refresh your picture with every click. There are some funny things there I have only came across one questionable picture.
No imapct man
I am keeping up with the no impact man. He is interesting. I think he has a good post today about cows. I don't agree with him on everything that's for sure, but I do agree with him about farming cows. Stop by and see Phelan today and show her some love. In case you have a case of the blues, click here.
